We have had a fantastic Summer break taking our visitors round our beautiful country, a few trips to the Edinburgh Festival and some camping fun on the West Coast. Our Deer Manager however could not resist a scan of the area for deer (no gun in sight though!).
We are teaming up with The Larder Cook School in Livingston this September to bring you a great evening all about venison. We will be supplying delicious fresh, local wild venison for the event and we will kick off the evening by doing a wee talk covering some interesting facts about venison then it's over to chef, Dereick Rushton to guide you through cooking your own venison dishes. Check out their website for more info and to book your tickets.
No need to eat trash when your off camping. We bought ourselves a great wee camping barbecue and this is just one of the gastronomical delights that Ron rustled up for our dinner ! We served up a delicious and colourful medley of stir fry veg alongwith our tasty quarter pounder wild venison burger. Our burgers are 80% wild venison so they don't contain much fat ( only 5% belly pork). To ensure the burgers didn't dry out or burn on the bbq we rubbed them with a little oil from our jar of sun dried tomatoes then tossed them on the bbq for 2 minutes a side. Yum
